Get In Touch
I’ll forever be obsessed with these Southern California Couples Photos! Maryl and Jon were one of the first couples I took when I moved to California. We instantly clicked both being from the midwest and have kept in touch for years. Since then, I’ve photographed most of their friends weddings and engagements and I owe them my soul.
This was our second session together. They were leaving California for their new home in Florida and wanted to document this sweet little blip in their lives before starting their new chapter. We started the session in a studio for some flash photos on the white backdrop. I wanted to capture more of an editorial vibe and these two were all for it! They were so easy to play around with. And can we have a moment for their outfit changes?! From lollipops and sunglasses, to some sexy cowboy boots and the grand finale of cigars, champagne and glitter. I want to say there was a ton of thought put into those, but M + J really are just that cool.
Then we shot on the beach right as the sun was going down and this session feels more like California to me then anything I’ve ever shot. There is something about a So Cal sunset on the beach that give me all the feels. Them in their bathing suits as the moon is rising, showing off their tattoos, looking at each other the way they do…I’m loving it!
I’ll miss photographing their drunk dance moves at every wedding they referred me to. M + J – come back to me!!!
