Laurel and Jordan tied the knot at their NeueHouse wedding in Hollywood California this summer. The venue is typically used for corporate events and award shows, so it was fun watching the brides creative vision come to life in such an unexpected location. Three stories high, (we got our steps in for SURE) the venue featured a rooftop ceremony, an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour at the bar, and an underground reception. Each space was curated with a unique touch.
She opted for a modern ceremony under the Chuppah complete with summer florals. The acrylic chairs set for her 100+ guests made all the impact visually. I LOVE the backdrop NeueHouse provides for a wedding – you have the Hollywood skyline on the rooftop, and the colors carried over into the dimly lit reception area, which felt like a club/dance floor surrounded by magically set dinner tables. The dance floor was CALLING.
Laurel and Jordan wanted the day to feel less than traditional. They emphasized guests truly enjoying the party, and it made for the most amazing day. The bride completely let go of any stress when things went wrong and tapped into all the good vibes. You can see it in the smile pained on her face and the occasional tears of joy – give me all your tears!
Family moments were priority. Parent dances turned into full family dances. Their Dad’s were the life of the party. Both the mother of the bride and groom looked STUNNING and were emotional all day. You could truly feel the love and joy they felt for their kids, which totally made me cry a time or two
The bride and groom didn’t want to spend their entire wedding day taking photos, so a lot of what they ended up with were candids. I super respect and appreciate when my couples do this. There’s more room for genuine moments and memories that will actually matter in 50 years. Big ups to them for this choice!
