Los Angeles Engagement Photos

I always love when my clients bring me to Los Angeles for engagement photos. I met Rachel and Phil in their LA condo. They live about 10 minutes from the water so we decided to hang out at the house and snap some pics in their first place together before heading to the beach. Rachel draws and Phil cooks. I let them show me around and documented them in their natural environment.

Rachel threw on a white dress and Phil added a jacket over his “at home” outfit and we drove down to the sand. I gave them a handheld recorder and let them film each other. (you can check out the video above) I often do this with my couples – I love to let them play and see how they see each other. It was a chilly winter evening in Los Angeles and I love how you can feel it through the cool tones/blues in the photos.

I came to love Rach and Phil pretty quick. We share a love for R&B and just vibed the whole session. I’m so lucky I got to see them again for their wedding which you can check out here.
