The La Valencia Hotel in San Diego is the quintessential California wedding venue. You feel it the moment you pull up to its pink exterior surrounded by palm trees and striped umbrellas. Just steps from the beach this is the perfect spot to host your wedding weekend.
Guests can all book a room to stay on property making it easy to mingle and party leading up to the big day. Matthew and Michael chose to get ready together in the groom suite just off the main bar. The Whaler, a restaurant attached to the hotel offers a fun/funky backdrop with green velvet booths. We snuck in for a few photos which ended in other guests cheering and congratulation the grooms. Such good vibes!
La Valencia Hotel Wedding Spaces
The ceremony space is on the lawn in the center of the hotel overlooking the ocean. Matt and Mike decorated with vibrant tropical florals. A few short steps away is the reception ballroom. Guests gathered just outside at the courtyard bar while the grooms snuck away to the ocean for a few photos. The venue owner is so sweet and will drive you down to the water on a hotel golf cart.
Inside the La Valencia wedding reception space guests found their seats with individual polaroids of themselves – so cute! They danced, ate cake, cried during speeches and had the night of their lives.
