Why have a wedding at the Grover Hot Springs State Park?
It’s one of the most naturally beautiful, peaceful, special settings I’ve had the honor of working in. When Camryn shared her plans to celebrate in Markleeville, one of her favorite places on earth, I couldn’t wait to see it. Her family is big on camping and staying at the park is tradition. You arrive under the tall shaded trees, and a few short steps later open up into the most beautiful meadow against a hilly backdrop.
If you want to get married at Grover Hot Springs but can’t fathom getting ready at the campsite, there is a hotel down the road that can host your wedding party. This is where the bride and her girls prepped for the big day. The bridesmaids wore a variety of fabrics and patterns all in a neutral toned family. The groomsmen were dressed in black suits.
The couples family set up camping chairs for guests to sit and watch the ceremony. Pinecones lined the aise. After saying “I do” everyone headed to the local town bar for dinner, drinks and dancing. They ate under the stars and partied the night way inside the bar. It was so perfectly them.
Camryn and Ron thank you so much for bringing me to Grover Hot Springs and allowing me to document your wedding day. Love you guys and can’t wait for the next celebration! Cheers!
